Internet Killed The Television Star?

So, what exactly is Classic Wine Direct TV?

Well, it won’t have escaped your attention that video’s on the web are EVERYWHERE. When we first talked about setting up Classic Wine Direct we all agree that it was video that was going to make the site interesting for our customers.

Having worked in the wine trade for fingers and thumbs of years between us, we always despaired at the boring nature of wine descriptions online or in catalogues. Let’s face it most wine retailers don’t really convey a love of wine do they?

So over the coming months we’re going to provide video reviews of the wines we’re selling on the site. Each week, the site will lead with a recommended “Wine of the Week” (usually with a deal attached) and we’ll also feature mixed cases and the occasional oddity.

A word about the video’s – we’re in our infancy so are getting to grips with having a camera pointed at us. If you think that we’re shifting uncomfortably in front on the lens then that’s probably because we are. However, each time we do it our confidence soars and we are eagerly anticpating awards and garlands shortly!

Oh, and here’s the controversial bit. We won’t always like the wines we feature. All of us here at CWD have our own individual tastes so it would be crazy to think that we’d like everything we taste. Where one of us may think a wine is the juice of the gods, another may compare it to paint stripper. It’s just a question of taste!

You’ll also be able to subscribe to our new video’s via the site and, of course, via the You Tube CWD TV channel.
